Today's central vacuum hose is light-weight and extremely durable, while allowing greater air-flow and suction. There are a few different option for central vacuum hoses. Homes plumbed with 110v inlets can enjoy a 110v hose, supplying 110v current to the powerhead beater-bar. If an inlet does not supply 110v, a homeowner can still have a 110v beater-bar with a pig-tail corded hose. A corded hose has an 8' electrical cord attached to the wall end of the hose, which is plugged into a adjacent electrical outlet. Low voltage hoses have many uses throughout the home.
